Digital technology is integral to navigating life in the US and crucial to the development of safety, stability, and success. A growing number of community organizations have made it a priority to assist people to participate in the ever expanding digital world we live in and to make it possible for them to leverage these tools to meet their basic needs. Digital tools training include use of, and access to, a smartphone, home internet, and a computer, and in some cases hands-on instruction on using technology for basic needs, transit, communicating through email, and accessing online resources for healthcare and job searches. Today’s panelists represent organizations that emphasize programming to empower people to not only access these tools, but leverage them for their individual career, educational, and personal goals.
